What is a restaurant table management system?
A table management system is a live floor plan of your restaurant that knows which tables are booked, seated, held or free at any moment. Online bookings, phone bookings and walk-ins all sit on the same plan, so nobody offers the same table twice. The manager opens tonight’s list: twenty-one bookings, seventy-eight covers, terrace and main room. Every booking already has a table with the right number of seats.

Two walk-ins arrive. The host seats them at table 3, free until the 21:00 booking. The plan shows the table busy; nobody else can be put there.

A regular calls: table for two at nine, by the window. The host holds table 12 on the plan. Guests looking at 21:00 online no longer see it.

Cancellations, no-shows and finished seatings leave the floor plan as events your team, ads and tools can use. All of it comes with table reservations at no extra cost: no add-on, no higher tier, no per-event fee.
How conversions, webhooks and the API work
Walk-ins and held tables never inflate your ads
Only bookings guests made online count as conversions, once, however often they are reconfirmed. Set a value per booking, optionally times the party size, so the six-top is worth more than the two-top.
Friday's changes in the host's chat
Pick what the host's Telegram group or Teams channel hears: cancellations and no-shows, say, not every booking. Each arrives in seconds with the name, time and covers, and a link to the dashboard.
No-shows logged night by night, no code
Zapier or Make add every no-show and every completed booking to Google Sheets with the table, time and party size. After a month you know which Friday seatings tend to go empty.
Mark a no-show from your own system
A read-write key can mark a booking no-show, complete or cancelled through the REST API and fire the same webhooks. Read reservations by branch, status and date for every room and location.

How does the floor plan stop double bookings?
Every booking, walk-in and held table occupies a table on the plan for its seating time plus the buffer you set. The booking page and the dashboard only offer tables that are free for that time, so the same table cannot be given away twice.
Can I have zones like terrace, main room and bar?
Yes. Draw as many zones as your room has, put tables in each with their shape and seat count, and let guests choose a zone preference when they book. You seat and hold tables in any zone from the same plan.
How do walk-ins work?
Tap a free table on the plan and seat the party. The table shows as busy for everyone until you clear it, so no online booking can land on it in the meantime.
Can I hold a table without a booking?
Yes. Mark a table as held on the plan, for a regular, a private group or a table you want to keep back, and it disappears from what guests can book online until you release it.
What is the buffer between seatings?
The time you add after each seating to clear and reset the table. With a 90-minute seating and a 15-minute buffer, the next booking on that table is offered from 105 minutes after the previous one starts.
Does it show how many covers I have tonight?
Yes. Tonight’s list shows every booking with time, party size, table and status, and the total covers for the evening, so you can plan the kitchen and the floor before service.
What does it cost and is there a contract?

What happens if I stop paying?
After a short grace period the booking page is paused with a brief “temporarily unavailable” note. Your floor plan, tables, zones and booking history stay exactly as they are. Switch the subscription back on and you carry on where you left off.
Do walk-ins and phone bookings count as Google Ads conversions?
No. TapTime reports a booking to Google Ads, Meta and GA4 only when a guest made it online and it is confirmed. Walk-ins seated on the floor plan and bookings your host types in from a call stay out of your ad reports, so the campaign gets credit only for the tables it filled.
