Loyalty card · Restaurants

A guest who comes back costs you nothing to win. Give them a reason to come back sooner.

TapTime is a digital stamp card for restaurants: a stamp per visit, a reward you choose on the ninth, kept on the guest's phone. It is not a discount; it is a reason to pick your place on a Tuesday. From 119 ₾ a month per location.

How does a loyalty program work for a restaurant?

A restaurant loyalty program rewards guests for coming back rather than for spending more on one night. The guest keeps a stamp card on their phone; each visit your staff scan the guest's QR code at the till and add a stamp, and after a set number of visits a reward unlocks. TapTime runs the card, the scanning and the statistics from one dashboard.

Your best table on a Tuesday is the one that comes back.

Every new guest costs you an ad, a listing, a voucher or a review you had to earn. A returning guest costs a stamp. Most restaurants spend on the first and nothing on the second.

01

The full room on Saturday hides the empty one on Tuesday

You do not need more people who love you. You need the ones who already do to come twice a month instead of once a quarter.

02

Discounts bring bargain hunters, not regulars

A twenty-percent voucher fills one night with people who will never pay full price. Then they are gone, and your margin went with them.

03

You cannot tell a regular from a stranger at the door

The couple at table four has been in eleven times this year. Nobody knows that, so nobody treats them like it.

Built around frequency: a stamp per visit, a reward when it matters.

Nothing off the bill tonight. A reason to come back next week, and the numbers that show whether they did.

  • A stamp for every visit

Each time a guest pays, your staff scan the code on the guest's phone and add a stamp. Nine visits, or any number you choose, and the reward unlocks.

  • The reward is a reason, not a markdown

A free dessert, a bottle of house wine, a main course on the ninth visit. You set the reward, its description, the terms and an optional expiry.

  • Know whether they came back

Stamp and reward statistics per location: how many guests are collecting, how many are close to a reward, how many rewards were redeemed.

  • In the guest's pocket, not in a drawer

Guests keep the card on their phone. It is there on the night they are choosing where to eat.

  • Regulars bring regulars

A refer-a-friend program is part of the module, so the guest who loves your place has a reason to bring the next one.

  • Gift cards and promo codes, same module

Gift cards for the guests who want to give your restaurant as a present, promo codes for the quiet weeks. Both are included, no extra add-on.

Live before tonight's service.

No hardware at the pass, no integration project, no onboarding call. The card is designed in the dashboard and scanned from a phone.

  1. 1

Design the card and the reward

Your logo and colors, the stamp icon, and the rule: nine visits, a free dessert. Terms and expiry if you want them.

  2. 2

Put the QR code where the bill lands

On the bill folder, at the host stand, on the receipt. Guests scan it once and the card is theirs — nothing to install.

  3. 3

Stamp at the till, redeem on the ninth

The guest shows the code, your staff scan it from the dashboard and tap Add a stamp. When the reward unlocks, tap Redeem and it is logged.

No loyalty program versus a stamp card, honestly.

No loyalty program

  • A quiet Tuesday. Hope, or a discount that cuts the margin
  • Who your regulars are. The faces the waiters remember
  • Winning a return visit. Another ad, another listing, another review
  • The reward. Twenty percent off for anyone who walks in
  • Several restaurants. Each one starts from zero
  • What it costs. The margin on every voucher

How a slow night looks when the regulars have a reason to pick you.

  1. Table four: a couple on their eighth visit. The waiter scans the code with the bill; the card shows 8 of 9 and they say they will be back next Tuesday for the dessert.

  2. A first-time guest scans the code on the bill folder and leaves with one stamp instead of a forgotten paper card — nothing to install.

  3. A regular brings two colleagues through the refer-a-friend program. Three covers on a night that usually has a dozen empty seats.

  4. The owner checks the dashboard: nineteen stamps tonight, two rewards redeemed, both to guests who came for the ninth time.

Put a number on your regulars: sign-ups in your ads, rewards in your books

Every guest who joins, collects and redeems becomes an event your ads, managers and accountant can use. Included with the loyalty card at no extra cost: no add-on, no higher tier, no fee per stamp or reward sent.

  • Google Ads
  • Meta
  • Google Analytics 4

Ads that find guests who join, not who scroll

The first stamp is sent once as a sign-up: Meta CompleteRegistration and GA4 sign_up, and Google Ads when the guest came from an ad click. Ads Manager can then show a cost per new member.

Tuesday's regulars, reported to the manager

The managers' Slack or Telegram hears each new member and each reward redeemed, with the guest's name and the reward. At 22:10 you know whether the slow night brought the regulars back.

  • Pipedream

The cost of every free dessert, in your books

Zapier, Make, n8n or Pipedream send each redeemed reward to your accounting or a Google Sheet, with no code. The cost of loyalty sits next to the takings, where you can weigh it.

  • Webhooks
  • REST API

One loyalty view across the group

The REST API reads programs, cards and rewards across every restaurant, and the event feed lists every stamp in order. Signed webhooks push each one to your group's own reporting.

One flat price. No commission on the visits it brings back.

119 ₾ a month per location. The card designer, the card on the guest's phone, scanning at the till, statistics, promo codes, gift cards and refer-a-friend are all included. You choose the reward; TapTime takes nothing off the bill.

Running more than one restaurant? One card is valid at every location, each with its own 119 ₾ subscription under one dashboard. Add a QR menu, table reservations or appointments later; they are switched on separately.

Questions restaurant owners ask before starting a loyalty program.

Do guests need to install an app?

No. The card lives on their phone. They scan your QR code once and it is theirs — nothing to install. If they already have a TapTime card from another business, yours sits beside it.

Is this a points scheme based on how much they spend?

No. It is a stamp card: one stamp per visit, a reward after the number of visits you set. Nine is the default. It rewards the guest who comes often, which is the guest you want more of.

What reward should a restaurant offer?

Something with a high perceived value and a low cost to you: a dessert, a starter, a bottle of house wine, a main course on the ninth visit. You write the title, the description and the terms, and can change them at any time.

Can I run it in more than one restaurant?

Yes. One card works at every location under your account, staff are scoped to their own restaurant, and the dashboard shows stamps and rewards per location.

Does it connect to my POS system?

No. TapTime does not integrate with other vendors' point-of-sale systems. Your staff scan the guest's code from the TapTime dashboard on any phone, which takes a few seconds at the till and needs no hardware.

Do gift cards and promo codes cost extra?

No. Gift cards, promo codes and the refer-a-friend program are part of the loyalty module and included in the same subscription, with nothing extra to switch on.

What does it cost and is there a contract?

119 ₾ a month per location, paid monthly by card. No contract, no setup fee, no commission on visits or rewards. The first 14 days are free and no card is needed to start.

What happens if I stop paying?

After a short grace period the card is paused and guests see a brief “temporarily unavailable” note on their phone. Nothing is deleted; stamps, rewards and statistics are all there when you switch it back on.

Can restaurant loyalty sign-ups count as conversions in Meta and Google Analytics?

Yes. TapTime reports a guest's first stamp on your program as a sign-up, a Meta CompleteRegistration and a GA4 sign_up, once per member and program however many cards they fill. Google Ads receives it only when the guest arrived from an ad click.
