Loyalty card · Beauty salons

Make the sixth visit free and your clients stop drifting to the salon next door.

TapTime is a digital stamp card for salons: a stamp per visit or per service, a reward the client actually wants after six, nine or any number you set, kept on her phone. Reception scans her code, and the refer-a-friend program brings the next client in. From 839 PHP a month per salon.

How does a loyalty program work for a beauty salon?

A salon loyalty program gives clients a stamp for every visit or service and a reward after a set number, such as a free blow-dry or a treatment upgrade. The client keeps the card on her phone and shows a QR code at reception; your team scans it from the dashboard and adds the stamp. TapTime includes the card designer, the free client app, statistics and a refer-a-friend program.

She loved the color. Then she tried the place next door anyway.

Salons lose clients quietly. Nobody complains; they just book somewhere closer, cheaper or newer next time. The reason to come back has to be in her hand when she decides.

01

Loyal until the next opening down the street

A new salon, a promotion, a friend's recommendation. Without a reason to stay, every visit is a fresh decision and you are one option among four.

02

Discounts teach clients to wait for discounts

Twenty percent off in January fills January. It also tells your best clients that full price is for people who did not wait.

03

Your regulars bring friends, and nobody thanks them

Half your new clients come from an existing one. The client who sent three friends this year gets the same treatment as a walk-in.

A stylist blow-drying a client's hair in a bright salon

A stamp per visit, a reward she wants, a thank-you for the friend she brings.

The card lives on the client's phone, reception scans it, and the numbers show who is coming back.

  • A stamp per visit or per service

One stamp per appointment, or one per service: a cut, a color, a manicure. You write the rule in the terms; reception adds the stamp with a scan.

  • A reward she would actually book

A free blow-dry, a free manicure, a treatment upgrade after six or nine visits. You set the number, the title, the description, the terms and an optional expiry.

  • Refer a friend, built in

A refer-a-friend program is part of the loyalty module, so the client who recommends you has a reason to keep doing it.

  • In her phone, next to her other cards

Clients keep the card on their phone, alongside cards from other TapTime businesses. It is there when she thinks about her next appointment.

  • Reception scans, no hardware

The client shows the code in her app, your receptionist scans it from the dashboard on any phone and taps Add a stamp. No reader, no terminal.

  • The numbers behind the loyalty

Stamp and reward statistics per salon. See how many clients are collecting, how many are close to a reward and how many rewards you gave this month.

Set it up between two clients.

No hardware, no onboarding call, nothing to print except the QR code. Reception runs it from the dashboard on a phone.

  1. 1

    Design the card

Your logo, your colors or a gradient, a sparkle for the stamp icon. Nine visits to a free blow-dry, or your own rule.

  2. 2

Put the QR code at reception

Clients scan it once while paying and the card is theirs — nothing to install.

  3. 3

Scan at checkout, redeem on the last stamp

Each visit, reception scans her code and adds a stamp. When the reward unlocks, tap Redeem and it is logged.

Saturday, 11:15, at Studio Bloom.

One Saturday with a card that gives clients a reason to stay.

  1. A client pays for a cut and color, shows her code on her phone. Reception scans it: stamp eight of nine.

  2. Her friend, first visit, came on her recommendation through the refer-a-friend program. She scans the QR code at reception and leaves with a card and a first stamp.

  3. A regular who has not been in since spring returns. Her card is still on her phone, five stamps in, exactly where she left it.

  4. The owner closes the dashboard: thirty-one stamps today, one free blow-dry redeemed and logged, four clients one visit from a reward.

Reception knows her next blow-dry is free before she reaches the door

Rewards, new clients and every visit stamp reach your team chat, your ads and your CRM. All of it is included with the loyalty card at no extra cost: no add-on, no higher tier, no per-event fee.

Instagram ads measured in clients who join

A client's first stamp is reported once to GA4 as sign_up and to Meta as CompleteRegistration, matched by her hashed phone. You can switch the hashed details off if you prefer.

A reward earned, flagged at reception

The reception chat in Telegram, Slack or Microsoft Teams hears each reward earned and each new client, with her name, in seconds. The stylist tells her the next visit is on the house before she leaves.

Zapier, Make, n8n or Pipedream add each new member to HubSpot or Pipedrive and log every visit stamp against her record, with no code. A client who has stopped collecting is easy to spot.

Your client database, kept in step

Signed webhooks push each stamp, reward and new member as it happens, and the REST API reads cards and rewards across every salon. Read-only keys are made in the dashboard.

Questions salon owners ask before starting a loyalty card.

Do clients need to install an app?

No. The card lives on their phone. They scan your QR code once at reception and it is theirs — nothing to install. If they already hold a TapTime card from a café or a shop, yours sits beside it.

Can I give a stamp per service instead of per visit?

Yes. A stamp is added every time reception scans the client's code, so you decide what earns one: a visit, a service, a treatment above a certain price. Write the rule in the card's terms.

What reward works best for a salon?

Something the client would book anyway and that costs you little: a free blow-dry, a free manicure, a treatment upgrade. You set the number of visits, the title, the description, the terms and an optional expiry, and can change them later.

How does the refer-a-friend program work?

It is part of the loyalty module and included in the subscription. It gives your existing clients a reason to bring a friend and the friend a reason to come, without vouchers to print or track by hand.

Does it work for a salon with several locations?

Yes. One card works at every salon under your account, staff are scoped to their own location, and the dashboard shows stamps and rewards per salon.

Do I need any hardware at reception?

No. Your receptionist scans the client's code with the TapTime dashboard open on any phone or tablet you already have. There is no reader, no terminal and nothing to install.

What does it cost and is there a contract?

839 PHP a month per salon, paid monthly by card. No contract, no setup fee, no per-client charge. The first 14 days are free and no card is needed to start.

What happens if I stop paying?

After a short grace period the card is paused and clients see a brief “temporarily unavailable” note on their phone. Nothing is deleted; cards, stamps and statistics are all there when you switch it back on.

Can my beauty salon's loyalty card add clients to HubSpot or Pipedrive?

Yes, through Zapier, Make, n8n or Pipedream, with no code. TapTime sends each new member, stamp and reward as signed JSON with the client's name, phone and card, and the automation creates or updates her record in your CRM.

Give her a reason to come back to you.
