A booking that nobody sees is worse than no booking. This is the screen where you decide who finds out, and by which route.
Panel Settings Notifications
The three routes
| Route | Best for | Not for |
|---|---|---|
| In the panel | Anyone with the panel open during service — the board updates itself. | Anything that must be seen when nobody is at a screen |
| The record: a copy of every booking, cancellation and order. | Urgency — nobody reads email during service | |
| Push on the phone | The manager who needs to know now, wherever they are. | Everyone. Six people with push is six phones buzzing at once |
Choose the recipients
Notifications are set per location, so the manager of one venue is not woken by the other. Pick a small number of people per location and be specific about who is responsible when.
What guests receive
Separately from your own alerts, guests get their confirmation, their reminder and any cancellation. Those are always sent — they are the guest's copy of an agreement — and they carry your name and logo.
When it goes quiet
- Check the address on the notification settings first; a typo there is the usual cause.
- Then the spam folder, and whitelist our sending address.
- Push needs notifications allowed on that phone.
- If bookings appear in the panel but no email arrives, tell us — that is ours to fix, not yours.
Frequently asked
Can I send notifications to a shared inbox?
Yes. A shared address like bookings@ is often the best recipient, because it survives someone going on holiday.
Can I turn off emails to myself?
Yes, per location. Guests still get theirs — those are not yours to switch off.
Do notifications cost extra?
No. They are part of the module that generates them.
