A loyalty program is one promise: come this many times, get this. Everything on this screen is in service of making that promise obvious.
Panel Loyalty Program
The promise
| Setting | What to put |
|---|---|
| Program name | What guests will call it: “Aroma Coffee Club”, not “Loyalty program 1”. |
| Stamps required | Between 3 and 20. Coffee works at 8–10; a restaurant main course at 5–6. |
| Reward | One line, concrete: “Free coffee”, “20% off your next cut”. Not “a surprise”. |
| Earning rule | One sentence for your staff: “one stamp per drink, not per cup in a round”. |
| Terms | The small print, if you need any. Shorter is better. |
The card itself
The designer shows the card exactly as the guest's phone will render it, and you change it live: background color, gradient or your own image; your logo; the icon a stamp leaves; the look of filled and empty slots; the text colors.
- The stamp grid arranges itself from the number of stamps you chose — you never lay it out by hand.
- Pick a stamp icon that means something: a cup, a scissors, a paw.
- Keep contrast high. This card is read in a dark bar with one hand.
Which locations it covers
A program belongs to the business, not to one location, so you choose whether it runs everywhere or only at some addresses. One card that works at all three of your cafés is a much better proposition than three separate cards.
Reward expiry
You can give filled rewards a lifetime — say sixty days — so they get used rather than accumulating forever. Leave it empty and rewards never expire.
Going live
A program starts as a draft, which is nowhere and does nothing. Activate it when the design is finished and your staff know the rule; from that moment guests can join and stamps can be given.
Frequently asked
Can I run two programs at once?
Yes — a coffee card and a lunch card, for instance. Guests hold one active card per program.
Can I change the number of stamps later?
You can, but do it rarely. Cards already in progress are the guests you care most about, and moving the goalposts is very visible.
What happens to a program I archive?
It stops accepting stamps. Rewards already issued stay valid until they expire, which is the fair way to end one.
