Loyalty card · Food trucks and mobile businesses

A loyalty card that follows the truck. Your regulars find you wherever you park.

TapTime is a digital stamp card for businesses on wheels: food trucks, coffee carts, mobile barbers and groomers. The card lives on the customer's phone; you scan their code with yours. No counter, no hardware, valid at the market, the festival and both your spots. From $49 a month.

How does a loyalty card work for a food truck?

A food truck loyalty card works like a stamp card without the paper or the counter. The customer keeps the card on their phone and shows a QR code at the hatch; you scan it with the dashboard on your own phone to add a stamp, and after a set number the reward unlocks. TapTime needs no hardware and no fixed address, so the card is valid wherever you park.

Your regulars are loyal. They just cannot always find you.

A café has a door people walk past every day. You have a spot on Tuesday, a market on Saturday and a festival next month. The people who love your food need a reason to look for you.

01

A paper card does not survive a truck

Wind, grease, a queue of twenty and a card stamped on the fold-down shelf. Half of them are lost before the fourth stamp and the rest look forged.

02

No counter, no till, no place for a scanner

Every loyalty system assumes a fixed counter with a reader on it. You have a hatch, a card machine on a lanyard and a phone in your back pocket.

03

Two spots, two sets of regulars, no numbers

The office crowd on weekdays, the park on Sunday. You cannot tell which spot brings people back or how many free coffees you gave at the festival.

Everything happens on two phones: theirs and yours.

The card lives in the customer's app. The scanning happens on your phone. The numbers follow you home.

Valid wherever you park

The card belongs to your business, not to an address. The stamp from the Tuesday spot counts at the Saturday market and at the festival next month.

No hardware, just a phone scanning a phone

The customer shows the code on their phone, you scan it with the dashboard on your own phone and tap Add a stamp. Nothing to mount, charge or plug in.

A reward you set from the cab

Nine stamps to a free coffee or a free taco by default, or any number. Name the reward, describe it, set terms and an optional expiry. Change it from the passenger seat.

Numbers at the end of the shift

Stamp and reward statistics per location. See how many customers are collecting, how many are one stamp away and how many rewards you handed out.

A second truck or a cart

Two trucks, or a truck and a cart: one card valid at both, staff scoped to their own vehicle, stamps and rewards shown per location in one dashboard.

Regulars bring the queue

A refer-a-friend program, promo codes and gift cards are part of the module. The customer who found you at the market has a reason to bring the office.

Set it up in the cab, use it at the next stop.

No hardware, no onboarding call, no fixed address needed. The whole thing runs on a phone with the dashboard open.

  1. 01

    Design the card

Your logo, your colors, a truck or a coffee cup as the stamp icon. Nine stamps to a free one, or your own rule.

  2. 02

Stick the QR code on the hatch

Customers scan it while they wait and the card is theirs — nothing to install, wherever they meet you next.

  3. 03

Scan, stamp, hand over the order

The customer shows their code, you scan it from your phone and add a stamp. On the ninth, tap Redeem and it is logged.

Saturday, 09:40, at the Rolling Bean cart.

One market morning with a card that knows the regulars from the Tuesday spot.

  1. A regular from the Tuesday office pitch finds the cart at the market, opens the card on their phone and shows the code. Stamp seven of nine, same card.

  2. A queue of twelve. A new customer scans the code on the hatch while she waits and has a first stamp before her oat latte — nothing to install.

  3. The ninth coffee for a regular who first found the cart at a festival in June. Reward unlocked, one tap on Redeem, free coffee logged.

  4. Packing up. The dashboard on the owner's phone: forty-eight stamps this morning, three rewards redeemed, six customers one stamp from the next.

Stamps from every pitch, in one chat on your phone and one sheet at home

Wherever the truck parks, each stamp and reward can reach your crew's chat, your ads and your books. Included with the loyalty card at no extra cost: no add-on, no higher tier, no per-event fee.

A market boost, counted in new cards

Each customer's first stamp goes once to GA4 as sign_up and to Meta as CompleteRegistration, whichever pitch they joined at. The Saturday market post gets credit for the regulars it started.

Zapier, Make, n8n or Pipedream add each stamp to Google Sheets with its location and time, with no code. After a month you can see whether the Tuesday office pitch or the park keeps regulars coming.

Numbers for your bookkeeper, per vehicle

The REST API reads cards and rewards, and the event feed lists every stamp in order. Give your bookkeeper's tool a read-only key: it can read everything and change nothing.

One flat price. No counter, no hardware, no per-stamp fees.

$49 a month per truck, cart or van. The card designer, the card on the customer's phone, scanning from your phone, statistics, promo codes, gift cards and the refer-a-friend program are all included.

A second truck or a cart as well? Each one is a location with its own $49 subscription, one card valid at both, managed from the same dashboard. Add a QR menu, appointments or table reservations later; they are switched on separately.

Questions truck and cart owners ask before starting a loyalty card.

Do customers need to install an app?

No. The card lives on their phone. They scan your QR code once and it is theirs — nothing to install. It holds cards from other TapTime businesses too, so yours sits beside their café's.

Does it work without a counter or a till?

Yes. There is no hardware at all. You open the TapTime dashboard on your own phone, scan the code the customer shows you and tap Add a stamp. It works in a truck, at a market stall or on a client's doorstep.

Does the card work at different spots and events?

Yes. The card belongs to your business, not to an address. A stamp given at the Tuesday pitch counts at the weekend market and at the festival, and the customer sees the same card everywhere.

Can I use it as a mobile barber or groomer, not just for food?

Yes. It is a stamp card for any business that meets customers wherever they are: a mobile barber, a groomer, a car detailer. A stamp per visit, a reward you choose, scanned from your phone.

I have two trucks. Can they share one card?

Yes. One card is valid at every location under your account, staff are scoped to their own vehicle, and the dashboard shows stamps and rewards per location.

How long does it take to set up?

Most owners design the card and print the QR code in under half an hour. There is no onboarding call, no hardware and nothing to print except the code for the hatch.

What does it cost and is there a contract?

$49 a month per truck or cart, paid monthly by card. No contract, no setup fee, no per-stamp charge. The first 14 days are free and no card is needed to start.

What happens if I stop paying?

After a short grace period the card is paused and shows a brief “temporarily unavailable” note on the customer's phone. Nothing is deleted; cards, stamps and statistics wait for you and come back when you switch it on.

Can my food truck's loyalty card send alerts to our Telegram group?

Yes. Create a Telegram bot, add it to your crew's group and the TapTime dashboard finds the chat for you. Then choose what it hears, such as new members and rewards redeemed, and each one arrives in seconds as a short message in the language you pick.

Let the regulars find you.
