Reading the board
Rows are tables, columns are time. A booking is a block sitting on the table it holds, for as long as it holds it, so a full evening is visible as a shape rather than a list.
Moving a booking
Drag the block to another table or another time. TapTime refuses a move that would double-book a table or seat a party where they do not fit, so you cannot break the plan by dragging.
The statuses

Walk-ins
Add a walk-in straight onto a table from the board. It occupies the table like any other booking, which stops the online page selling a table that has someone sitting at it.
Everyone sees the same board
The board updates itself. A host seating table four on the tablet at the door changes the manager's screen in the office at the same moment, with nobody refreshing anything.

Does it work on a tablet?
Yes, and a tablet at the host stand is the usual setup. It is a web page, so there is nothing to install.
What happens if someone stays much longer than the booking?
The block stays where it is until you complete it. If it happens constantly, your default duration is too short — that is useful information.
