Providers differ in what they call things, but the shape of the job is identical everywhere. Do these six steps and you are done; the article for your own market says exactly which fields your provider asks for and where they live.

Find your provider
The screen opens on your own country and lists the providers that onboard businesses there. Change the country filter only if your merchant contract is genuinely in another one.

Open your provider's merchant portal
In a second tab, signed in as the merchant. This is where the credentials come from — never from an email, a screenshot or a colleague's memory.

Copy the credentials across
The panel form lists exactly the fields your provider uses, with a hint on the ones that are easy to mistake. Paste, do not retype.

Paste our callback address into their portal
The panel shows it with a copy button. Most providers have a field called notification, callback or webhook URL. Save it there.

Test the connection
The Test button asks your provider whether the credentials work and shows you what came back.

Turn test mode off and enable it
Only once you have taken one payment end to end in test mode.
About the secret fields
- A saved secret is never shown again — the field says it is stored, and leaving it blank keeps it.
- That is what lets you flip test mode or fix a typo in an id without re-pasting a certificate.
- To change a secret, paste the new value over the placeholder.
Certificates and keys
Several banks authenticate with a PEM certificate and private key rather than a password. Open the file in a plain text editor and paste everything, including the BEGIN and END lines. If the key has a passphrase, put it in the passphrase field rather than trying to strip it out.
When the test fails

| Authentication or signature error | A wrong or swapped secret, or a trailing space from copying. Paste again, carefully. |
| Not found, or an unknown merchant | Right credentials, wrong environment — a test id against the live host, or the reverse. Check the test switch. |
| Timeout or connection refused | A gateway host typed with https:// in front, or a bank host that only answers from addresses it has been given. |
| Certificate error | The PEM is truncated, or the certificate and the key are not a pair. Ask the bank to reissue both together. |
| Payments start but never complete | The callback address is missing or wrong in the provider's portal. Copy it again from the panel. |

Owners. These are the credentials that move your money, and they belong with whoever the money belongs to.

Can I test without a real card?
Yes — in test mode, using the test cards your provider publishes. Your own live card is never needed.
What if I change provider later?
Connect the new one, test it, and enable it. The old credentials can stay stored, disabled, in case you go back.
