Describe each one
One short line — “the terrace at dusk”. It is read aloud to guests using a screen reader, and it is what shows if an image ever fails to load.

The first two or three are the ones most guests will see. Put your best there and stop worrying about the rest.

Is this the same as the cover photo?
No. The cover is the single wide image at the top of the page, set under Design. These sit below your description and there can be up to 24 of them.
Do they slow the page down?
No. Each photograph is stored in several sizes and a guest's phone is sent the one it needs, so the row costs far less than the originals would.
