How does online booking work for a beauty salon?

Online booking gives your salon a web page where clients pick a service, a stylist and one of the free slots, then confirm. With TapTime the page reads each stylist's working hours and existing appointments, so it only offers times that are actually open. The client gets a confirmation email and a reminder 24 hours before, and the booking appears in your calendar the moment it is made.

Tuesday, 23:10, at Studio Bloom.

How one night and the morning after look when the page takes the bookings.

  1. A client scrolls Instagram, taps the link in the bio and books a root color with Elena for Saturday at 11:00. The confirmation email arrives before she has put the phone down.

  2. The owner opens the calendar over coffee. Three new bookings came in overnight; nobody answered a single call.

  3. Mid-foil, the phone stays in the drawer. A regular is booking a manicure for Thursday on the page while the color develops.

  4. Friday's 14:00 was canceled from the reminder email last night. The slot went straight back on the page and has already been booked again.

The phone rings when both your hands are in someone's hair.

Every call is a choice: leave the client in the chair or let it ring. Either way, someone waits. And the client who wanted a slot at 22:30 never called at all.

  1. 1

    I lose bookings after closing

A new client decides at 23:00 that she wants a blow-dry on Saturday. The phone is off and nobody is reading messages. By morning she has booked somewhere that answered.

  2. 2

Answering the phone breaks the appointment I am doing

You put down the brush, wipe your hands, find the diary, flick to Thursday, ask the caller to hold. The color keeps developing. The client in the chair sighs.

  3. 3

Only the diary knows the free slots, and it lives on the desk

The only way to find out whether 14:00 on Friday is open is to ask whoever is holding the book. Clients cannot see it, you have to read it out, and a pencilled name is easy to miss.

A booking page that knows your diary better than you do.

Set up your services and stylists once. From then on the page only offers slots that are actually free, and every booking lands in the same calendar as the ones you write in at the desk.

01

Only real free slots

The page reads every stylist's hours and existing appointments and shows the client what is actually open. No back-and-forth, no double bookings.

02

Services with duration, price and buffer

A cut is 45 minutes, a full color is two hours, and you need ten minutes to clear the chair after. Set the price, the length and the buffer once; the calendar respects them.

03

Every stylist, their own hours

Each stylist has a photo, a title and a weekly schedule of their own, with days off you can set for any week. The client picks a name, or “anyone available”.

04

Confirmation and a reminder the day before

Every booking gets a confirmation email. Twenty-four hours before the visit a reminder goes out, with a link to cancel or move the appointment.

05

Rules you set

Slot step, minimum notice, how far ahead clients can book and the cancellation deadline are all settings. Approve every booking by hand, or let the page confirm automatically.

06

One link, everywhere clients find you

Put the booking link in your Instagram bio, on your Google Business profile, in WhatsApp replies and on your website. It opens in the browser, nothing to install.

Set it up in an afternoon, take bookings tonight.

No onboarding call, no setup fee, no hardware. You add what is already on your price list and your rota.

  1. 01

    Create the account

Your salon and its first location. Two minutes, no card.

  2. 02

    Add services and stylists

Each service with its duration, price and buffer. Each stylist with a photo and weekly hours. Copy it from the price list on the wall.

  3. 03

    Share the link

Paste it into your Instagram bio, Google profile and WhatsApp. The first booking can arrive before you have closed for the day.

Midnight bookings reported to your ads and waiting in the salon chat by morning

Ad conversions, chat alerts, Zapier and the API come with the Appointments module at no extra cost. No add-on, no higher tier, no per-event fee: switch them on from Integrations in the dashboard.

How conversions, webhooks and the API work
  • Google Ads
  • Meta
  • Google Analytics 4

A full color counts for more than a fringe trim

Each confirmed online booking goes to Google Ads, Meta and GA4 as one conversion worth that service's price. It is sent from the server, so the 23:10 booking counts even if the client's browser blocks the pixel.

The night's bookings in the salon's Telegram

A bot posts each new booking to the salon group in seconds: who, when, how much and a link to the calendar. Your hands stay in the color; you read the night's list over coffee.

Signed webhooks for the agency behind your site

If an agency runs your website or ads, give them signed webhooks, postbacks for their tracker and a read-only API key. The booking widget on your own site credits each booking to the right campaign too.

Priced by specialists, not by bookings.

From 669 PHP a month for up to 3 specialists and 10 services; up to 7 specialists is 1 189 PHP. Unlimited bookings, the booking page, the calendar, confirmation and reminder emails are all included.

More than one salon? Each location has its own booking page and its own subscription, managed from the same dashboard. A loyalty card for your regulars can be added later; modules are switched on separately.

Questions salon owners ask before switching.

Do clients need an app to book?

No. The booking page opens in the phone's browser from the link. Any iPhone or Android phone, no download, no account to create.

Will it double-book a stylist?

No. The page reads each stylist's working hours, days off and existing appointments and only shows slots that are free. A slot taken at the desk disappears from the page as soon as it is saved.

Can I still write bookings in myself?

Yes. Bookings you take by phone or at the desk go into the same calendar as the ones from the page, so there is one list and the page always knows what is free.

Do clients get a reminder?

Yes. Every booking gets a confirmation email, and a reminder email goes out 24 hours before the appointment with a link to cancel or reschedule.

Can I approve bookings before they are confirmed?

Yes. Choose automatic confirmation or manual approval in the settings. With manual approval a new booking waits for you, and the client is emailed once you accept it.

What does it cost and is there a contract?

From 669 PHP a month for up to 3 specialists and 10 services, paid monthly by card. No contract, no setup fee. The first 14 days are free and you do not enter a card to start.

How long does it take to set up?

Most salons have the page live the same afternoon: add your services with their duration and price, add each stylist with their hours, share the link.

What happens if I stop paying?

After a short grace period the booking page is paused and shows a brief “temporarily unavailable” note. Nothing is deleted. Start paying again and your services, stylists and bookings are exactly where you left them.

Does TapTime tell Google Ads when a client books a salon appointment online?

Yes. When an online booking is confirmed, TapTime uploads a conversion to Google Ads with the click id and the service price as its value, and can send the same booking to Meta and GA4. Bookings you write in at the desk are never counted, so the report shows what the ads actually brought.
