Your own booking page with every job you do — oil change, diagnostics, inspection — each with a duration and a price. The driver picks a free time, gets a confirmation email, and your phone stops ringing with the same three questions. From $39 a month, 14 days free.

This is the real booking page and the calendar behind it, not a video. Pick a job and a slot.

Your shop publishes a booking page listing each job — oil change, diagnostics, inspection — with how long it takes and what it costs, and showing only the times still free. The driver picks a slot and a mechanic, or leaves it at anyone available, and gets a confirmation email. With TapTime the page opens in any phone browser, no app, and every booking lands in one list.
A day where nobody waits in the corridor and the phone stays on the desk.
The first car is already booked in: oil and filter change, 45 minutes, Nick's bay. The keys are on the hook before the kettle boils.
A driver calls about a rattle he cannot describe. You take the car and type the job into the same calendar, so the slot is blocked for everyone online too.
You are locking up. Someone books a diagnostics scan for Thursday at 09:00 from his sofa and has the confirmation email before you reach the car park.
Tomorrow's list is on your phone: five cars, each with a job, a time and a mechanic. No surprises waiting at nine.
Nobody rang first. Three drivers arrive at nine, two of them for a fifteen-minute job, and the fourth call of the hour asks what an oil change costs.
A driver parks outside with no appointment and expects a lift. Someone sits in the corridor for an hour and leaves annoyed, and the job you planned for ten slides to eleven.
How much, how long, when can you take the car. You answer them with oily hands twenty times a day, and half of those callers never come.
Tuesday you have two cars and an idle lift. Thursday four arrive before nine. Nothing tells you the night before which day you are about to have.
Set it up once. The page offers only the times you can really work, and every booking arrives in the same list as the cars you take at the counter.

Your opening hours, each mechanic's working week and their days off decide what the page shows. A booked slot disappears for everyone else the same second.
Give each service the minutes it needs afterwards for the test drive, the paperwork and clearing the bay. The next car cannot start before you are ready for it.
The driver gets a confirmation email the moment he books and a reminder the day before, so fewer cars are simply forgotten. You text nobody.
A driver who trusts one mechanic picks his name and sees only his free hours. Everyone else takes the first slot going, and the week fills evenly.
How much, how long and when are answered on the page, day and night. What is left on the phone is the driver whose car will not start.
No onboarding call, no setup fee, nothing to install. Most shops have the page live in about twenty minutes.
Your shop name and your first location. Two minutes, no card.
Name, minutes, price and a buffer for each job. Each mechanic with a photo, a title and their working week. Ten services fit the entry plan.
Google Business profile, your website, your Instagram bio, your WhatsApp replies. The first booking can arrive the same evening.
| Phone and drive-ins versus a booking page, honestly. | Phone calls and drive-ins | TapTime online booking |
|---|---|---|
| A driver wants an oil change | He calls, or simply turns up at nine | He sees the job, the price and the 08:00 slot, and books it |
| The price question | Asked and answered twenty times a day | On the page, next to the job, before he books |
| A booking at 22:00 | Nobody answers | Booked and confirmed by email |
| Reminding the driver | A call the day before, if there is time | Reminder email 24 hours ahead, automatically |
| A driver who cannot make it | He does not come and says nothing | He reschedules from the link; the slot goes back online |
| What it costs | The hour a day you spend on the phone | From $39 a month |
Know which Google ad or listing filled the 08:00 slot, and tell the workshop the second a driver books. Conversion tracking, chat alerts, Zapier and the API come with online booking at no extra cost, with no per-event fee.
How conversions, webhooks and the API workWhen a driver’s online booking is confirmed, Google Ads, Meta and GA4 get one conversion worth the job’s price, sent from the server with the click id. Cars you take at the counter never count.
A diagnostics scan booked at 21:40 posts to your Telegram group or Slack in seconds: who, when and how much. A cancellation does too, so nobody keeps the lift free for a car that is not coming.
Paste a Zapier or Make webhook address, press Send test, and every confirmed booking becomes a row: the driver, the time, the status and where he found you. No code, and n8n or Pipedream work the same way.
Signed webhooks post each booking and its attribution to your own system the moment it changes. The REST API reads appointments, and a read-write key can confirm, cancel or complete them. Open docs at /docs/api.
From $39 a month. The entry plan covers up to 3 mechanics and 10 services, which is a two-bay shop with room to hire. Unlimited bookings, confirmation and reminder emails, the booking page and the calendar are all included. Fourteen days free, no card.
A second workshop across town gets its own booking page and its own subscription under the same account. Other TapTime modules are switched on separately when you want them.
No. The booking page opens in the phone's browser from the link, on any iPhone or Android. The driver picks a job, a time and a mechanic and confirms with a name and an email address.
Take them the way you always have and type the job into the calendar yourself. Bookings from the page and the ones you enter sit in one list, so the slot is blocked for everybody and the day is in one place.
Yes. Switch on manual approval and the request waits in your list; the driver gets the confirmation email only after you accept it. Useful for jobs you want to look at before you promise a time.
The booking holds the minutes the service says it takes plus its buffer. If the car needs more, you talk to the owner as you always do and adjust the calendar. TapTime does not write estimates or invoices and does not keep parts stock.
Yes, if you want them to. They pick a name on the page or leave it at anyone available, and the page then shows only the hours that mechanic really has free.
You decide. Minimum notice sets how close to the start a slot can still be taken, and the booking horizon sets how far ahead the page opens. A shop that likes a day to prepare sets the notice to 24 hours.
From $39 a month for up to 3 mechanics and 10 services, paid monthly by card. No contract and no setup fee, and the first 14 days are free without entering a card.
After a short grace period the booking page is paused and shows a brief “temporarily unavailable” note. Nothing is deleted: your services, mechanics, hours and bookings are waiting when you switch it back on.
Yes. TapTime saves the campaign, the ad click id and the referrer on every booking a driver makes online, and reports the confirmed ones to Google Ads with the job’s price as the value. Bookings you type in yourself for phone callers or drive-ins are never counted.
Fourteen days free, no card, cancel any time. The driver who would have called and given up can take the 08:00 slot instead.
