One code per table
You can also generate a code per table. It opens the same menu, but the venue knows which table it came from — which is what makes ordering from the table work without anyone typing a number.
Where to put it
- On the table, standing up, not lying flat under a candle.
- At eye level from a seated position — a guest should not have to stand to scan.
- One per table minimum; two on a table for six.
- By the door as well, so people waiting can read the menu before they sit.
Does the code ever change?
No. The code points at your location, not at a version of your menu, so you can change every price tonight and keep every card you printed last year.

Do guests need an app to scan it?
No. Every phone camera made in the last several years reads a QR code and opens the page in the browser. There is nothing to install.
Can I put my logo in the middle of the code?
The downloadable code is clean by design, because the busier a code is the worse it scans in low light. Print it inside your own card design instead — that gives you the branding without touching the code.
What if a card is stolen or damaged?
Print another. Codes are not unique per card, so replacing one costs you nothing.
