The booking widget puts your TapTime booking flow on a website you already have — your own domain, a WordPress, Wix, Tilda or Shopify site, a landing page. Guests book without leaving your site, and the booking lands on your board exactly like one made on your TapTime page.
Panel Booking widget
Choose how it looks
- Floating button — a button in a corner of every page; tapping it slides in the booking panel. Best for a whole website.
- Inline on the page — the booking form sits inside the page where you paste it. Best for a dedicated “Book” page.
- What it books — table reservations or appointments, at one location or letting the guest choose.
- Design — button label, colours, shape, size, icon and corner position; the panel’s width, height, rounding and accent colour; the language, or the visitor’s own.
The preview on the right follows every change as you make it. The booking flow inside the preview is the real one, so you can click through it.
Put it on your site
-
1
Save your design
The embed code always uses what is saved, so save before you copy.
-
2
Copy the embed code
It is one line: a script tag with your company’s address in it.
-
3
Paste it into your site
For the floating button, paste it once before </body> on every page, or in your site builder’s “custom code / footer scripts” setting. For the inline form, paste it where the form should appear.
-
4
Open your site and book a test table
The booking appears on your board straight away. Cancel it from the board when you are done.
Use your own button
Already have a “Book a table” button on your site? Give it the attribute data-taptime-open and it opens the booking panel instead of the floating button. Developers can also call TapTime.open() and TapTime.close() from their own scripts.
Allowed websites
By default the widget works on any site. Add your domains under Allowed websites (one per line, *.example.com for subdomains) and browsers will refuse to show your booking page framed anywhere else.
Bookings and your site’s analytics
The widget passes your site’s campaign (UTM tags, ad click ids) and GA and Meta cookies to the booking, so a booking made in the widget is credited to the ad that brought the visitor to your site. With “Report bookings to my website’s tags” on, the widget also tells the page: it pushes taptime_booking_confirmed to the Tag Manager dataLayer and fires your page’s own GA4 and Meta Pixel, if they are installed there.
Frequently asked
Does the widget slow my website down?
No. The script is small, loads asynchronously after your page, and the booking panel itself only loads when a guest opens it.
Can I use it on several websites?
Yes. Paste the same code on each one. If you have filled in Allowed websites, add every domain there.
The button does not appear on my site.
Check that the code is on the page and saved in your site builder, that your site is published, and that its domain is in Allowed websites if you filled that in. Some builders only run custom code on the published site, not in their editor.
